rick's rehab update

Well I haven't posted any videos of Rick's therapy lately and he's doing so awesome so I took some video today at therapy... enjoy!!!

YAY RICK! I am so proud of him and everything he's doing and everything he trys and everything he is.

Well I got a second job this week. I have some patients with my home health that have disabilities. And they have alot of kids in their family with disabilities that they have adopted and are fostering. The other day at work the dad mentioned that they need some help around the house just playing with the kids and cooking dinners and such. I really didn't put much thought into it because I work alot and I want to be with Rick the rest of the time. Me and Rick thought about it a little more and he said well maybe if they let you take me with you? So I asked him the next time I went to work and he said that should work out great. So on my days off and after my other job some nights we're going to go over there and just help out. So I'll let you know how it goes!

Next week me and Rick are celebrating our anniversary. On wednesday Rick is way excited to go with his brother Matt to the jazz game and I'm going with my 4 best friends from junior high and high school out to dinner. On Thursday we're just hanging out up north and then Friday and Saturday we're going to Idaho. We're going to visit Rick's step sister and old mission companion and just hang out together and get away and have fun. So everyone have a good week!!

So glad it's over

So me and Rick had to talk in church on Sunday, and oh boy was I nervous! I had to talk on Christ's love and Rick had to talk about how sometimes we make plans but God's plan is different for us. Hmm does that sound familiar? I wonder why they had Rick talk about that!!! Anyway, I think it went good. Of coarse I cried but I think people could still understand me so that's good. And Rick always does great. Pretty sure there wasn't a dry eye in the congregation when we were talking. I guess we kinda have an emotional life or something ;) Oh and Michelle Kemp, you posted a story about the little pickup truck and sandbags a while ago and Rick used that analogy in his talk, so thanks for posting it and hope you don't mind we used it!

Things are all going pretty good. No big news. Just livin life I guess! Well we'll keep ya posted!

Good news!!!!!

We have good news!! The other night (Tuesday) we were laying in bed and getting ready to go to sleep. Rick was feeling his hip bones since they stick out so much since he got so skinny. All of a sudden he said,"Tara I can feel this!!" Rick now has a spot of feeling on his right hip/upper thigh. A while ago I posted that he got a new feeling on his stomach and it just started out a little spot and it keeps growing and growing and getting stronger. So of coarse we're hoping that this spot of feeling does the same thing. Right now he says that it feels like that spot has a blanket over it and he's rubbing on top of the blanket, but we're sure it will just get stronger. We are so excited to see some progress! He's finally over all the infections and now he's able to heal and get new feeling and movement and we're so excited! He's also doing great at therapy! All in all rick is doing awesome! It's so GREAT to have good news!!
